Get ready to compete! Athletes will be led through a warm up session to prepare their bodies for their race or routine! Then athletes can cool down and recover after their event.
Go through both activities and receive a SOMN bucket hat or basketball as well as a free cooling towel—while supplies last!

Starkey at Healthy Hearing
At Healthy Hearing in Stillwater, Starkey will be offering additional services like ear wax removal and hearing aid fittings in addition to the traditional screening. If you choose to take advantage of this exciting opportunity, please be aware that it will take longer than usual: Plan on approximately 30 minutes for the traditional screening and another 30 minutes for the additional services.
Hearing aid fitting
Under age 18
Hearing aid medical clearance must be obtained for athletes under the age of 18 in order to be fit with hearing aids at the Healthy Hearing screening. Please bring a clearance form (PDF) that was signed by your Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) physician any time between December 22, 2023, and June 22, 2024. If you do not have this form, you will be referred to an ENT physician before you receive your hearing aids.
Over age 18
For athletes over the age of 18, hearing aid medical clearance is recommended but not enforced. A waiver (PDF) will be required for athletes over the age of 18 who do not want to obtain medical clearance but still want to be fit with hearing aids. You can bring the signed waiver with you, or it may be signed on site by either the athlete or their guardian (parent, caregiver, coach, etc.).
Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® offers free health screenings and education to Special Olympics athletes in a welcoming, fun environment. As a part of the screening process, athletes receive personalized recommendations, educational resources and help finding providers in their communities. These screenings are completely FREE and no insurance is required. When athletes are healthy, they can compete at their best! Please take advantage of Healthy Athletes at Summer Games.
